  What a terrific meal! We called on Christmas Eve, and were able to get a take-out order in 20 minutes. The branzino was generous and perfectly cooked. The chicken piccata and mushroom risotto were delicious, and the accompanying veggies were first rate. Highly recommend.

  This restaurant gave me and my husband the best service we have ever received. We visited on a nice day in the summer so there was outdoor sitting it was a little warm so they made sure our waters were constant filled. They checked on us in a timely manor and after we started to eat the chef came out to see how we were enjoying the food! All the staff were extremely friendly warm and welcoming! They gave us 5 star service! We will definitely be back!! And I would recommend this place to anyone!!

  I hosted an engagement party for 20 people at La Panetteria and the experience was AWESOME! I tried booking several other places in the area before finding this gem and the La Panetteria staff made booking, planning, and payment so much easier than the rest. The food was great, my favorites were the zucchini fritters and the prosciutto and arugula pizza. The service and dining area were super welcoming and felt like our own little slice of Italy. Highly recommend, especially for family events.

  Have not gone back since the change of ownership until yesterday. We were pleasantly surprised by the improvements. The food was great except the beef milanese, it wasn't bad but just not to the same standard of other dishes we ordered. The veal chops, the risotto dishes and the fried zucchini were excellent. The services were enthusiastic and the home made after dinner lemoncello was better than what I had in Sorrento Italy. With the escalating prices and declining services in Bethesda restaurants, this is a great place to have in our neighborhood. Their prices are fair.

  I was excited to see a vegan strawberry crumble on their menu so I decided to get it for takeout. Received a cold, liquid-y hodgepodge of strawberries and nuts which TBH looked like a bunch of frozen strawberries were allowed to thaw out with some walnuts! I was slightly appaled but more amused than upset by the audacity of this dish pretending to be a crumble. See pictures below for entertainment. I give this place three stars despite this because I have had decent risotto from them in the past and I am happy that they have an otherwise decent vegan menu. Just stay away from the soggy strawberry nut mixture
