  Been working out here since moving from S. Arlington. Used to workout at the LA Fitness in Grand Prarie. This facility in comparison is consistently dirtier and less organized. The dumbbells are all over the place and finding two of the same weight can be problematic. The dressing room area as well as the restroom area is typically dirty with full trash bins and debris all over the floor. To be clear, I workout early in the morning when they first open. Don’t know when there cleaning schedule is, but it’s clear it’s not during the evening or in the early morning. On the plus side, most of the front desk employees are friendly, aside from one guy whose head is so buried in his cell phone he doesn’t even acknowledge people coming or going. As an F.Y.i. to LA Fitness, my 3 Star review is actually very close to 2. Nothing that is wrong with this location is unfixable. Someone in management just needs to decide to do it.

  i was getting ready to go to THIS gym today with my sister which we both had guest pass so we could both look around and give it a try plus "i" planned on buying a 2 person membership which was for me and my sister.....that is until we both received A VERY RUDE CALL from a guy who had a massive attitude that worked for LA fitness!, OKAY THATS COOL CAUSE I CAN TAKE MY MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE, I would NOT recommend this gym at all!. (4/2/18).

  I am a dedicated gym goer. This place is spacious, that's all. Apart from that, the equipments are old and rusty. Also they have only 2 exercise balls. They have no kettle bells and no stretching equipment or rollers for warm up. They close at 5pm on weekends which is ridiculous. Also, they are pricier than Planet Fitness close by which have new equipment and open 24 hours.

  I'm not sure who cares less, the members or the staff. No one makes an effort to re-rack weights or clean up after themselves. The location is fairly large with a great variety of equipment, but a good portion of the equipment looks pretty beat up, outdated, or rusty. With all indications of a busy location, I'm surprised it hasn't been updated. I'll most likely switch back to lifetime.

  Machines are usually free. Free weights need responsible organization otherwise it is a little time-consuming to find the weights you want to use. Nice racquetball courts. Can't comment on the basketball court. Decent lap pool, but there's usually some grease or grime floating on the bubbles in the middle of the spa. Showers are decent, and the water is always warm to hot and can get quite cold. Pretty much all of the floors are carpeted, which means a stinky or mildew mess in the locker rooms, too, except for the shower and bathroom and pool areas, and courts. Water fountains are adequately placed and provide decent temperature water. I didn't test the cleanliness of the water or anything. The hours are less than the downtown hours by 1 daily, and also quite a bit less than other gyms like 24Hr and Planet Fitness. The sauna is the saving grace as it is usually in working order and keeps the heat going for a good relaxation and detox. I've heard the downtown location is tidier.
