Do you love books? How about brunch? The occasional cocktail? Kramer books is the DC bookstore for you. Browse the shelves and get lost in a story. Grab a hearty brunch and read your latest literary adventure.

They really have a top notch breakfast. Just great. The waffles were light and fluffy, not dense at all. And the scrambled eggs and sausages are also enjoyable. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. They also have a locally run bookstore in the back. They have a wide ranging selection. A nice way to spend a morning.

We were lucky enough to hear about this place from friends and are so glad we got in! The food was amazing, almost all of us got the seared scallops with whole grain risotto.....yummo! Our server Joe was super friendly and attentive and the prices were super reasonable. Definitely a must!!

Food was good overall. French toast was a bit disappointing (sorry didn't get a pic before wife dug in) and service was a bit sporadic. I think it was due to the busy time of the day. Book store side was great. Edit: We went back for dinner a few nights later wow great food great service. The place was lively and packed. Everyone enjoyed their food. Changing my rating from 4 to 5 stars.

I live in the neighborhood and have been wanting to try this cafe for awhile. Finally pulled the trigger when one of my friends booked on Seated and asked me to join her. We went on a weeknight and were able to get a table outside on the back patio. Great ambiance back there. I was trying to be healthy so I ordered the chicken salad which had all the good things on it (goat cheese, candied nuts, a great balsamic dressing). My friend got the scallops risotto which she loved! Very generous portion of scallops and excellent risotto! Towards the end of the night they started playing some super loud hip hop which totally didn’t vibe with the rest of the ambiance but we found kind of funny. Also it doesn’t seem like they have dedicated servers for tables. We were probably helped by 4 different people. Not a problem at all, just a little strange. All in all a good experience. Would def go back.
