::This cemetery forwards all their calls all day, every day to their answering service. The cemetery owners never return calls. Meanwhile, I have a headstone moved from its base which is sinking in the ground and I have an empty plot. This cemetery was nice when it was owned by the Pettits. This new owner is very bad.

::Mount Rest Cemetary broke my grandfathers ground stone signifying that he is a veteran. They destroyed it when they ran over it with a vehicle because they are burying caskets in between the rows of already laid caskets. They are over crowding the already small land plot they have. I and my grandmother have been calling for weeks, leaving messages with the answering service and have not heard back once. Do not lay your loved ones to rest here. There are places that will respect your wishes and treat the already somber situation with respect. Mount Rest Cemetary is absolutely deplorable.

::I've left 3 messages with the answering service within 3 weeks. The owners of the cemetery do not return calls. If you are looking for a plot, go elsewhere as when it's time to bury someone, you'll only get an answering service. I will file a complaint with the State of New Jersey. I have a plot for myself there, as well as multiple family members. This kind of customer service never happened when the Pettit family owned the property. The answering service would only provide a P.O. Box #247, Butler, NJ address.

::I am in the process of ordering a headstone (12/2017). The company already advised me that the cemetery is slow to call back, so I would not get frustrated. They also told me the cemetery charges a $570 fee for the permit to do the foundation for the headstone. I would say, have the monument company do all the work for you as there are other details that they know how to handle better than a lay person, that's their job.The headstone usually takes 6-8 weeks to create. I'm hoping it will be ready for mother's day 2018. I haven't selected the monument company yet but feel better informed about the process so far. I'll post another review once its all done.
