  A somber reminder of years past. As a boy growing up in Astoria, it seemed I was spending more time at Calvary burying family members than playing ball with friends. As I look down via Google Earth 50 years later. A smile comes upon my face.......I’m still alive and I’m looking after them from the heavens.

  I'm not a Catholic but I visited this grave just to visit and browse. I enjoyed walking around and reading the graves. I'd have to say it's really beautiful. They take care of the grass and everything really well. What's sad though, is the forgotten Graves. Many Graves are abandoned, with no flowers and they are rusty with vines growing around it, or tiled and fallen over. They say you die two times. The first is when you die for real, and the second is when someone says your name for the very last time on Earth. This is really a great cemetary and I'd urge you to visit.

  Enormous cemetery with plenty of history. The grounds are well attended. I didn't have enough time to capture even a fraction of the grounds.
