  Had my small kitchen remodeled in 2016. K&B is the place to go if your want custom built cabinets. However, the workers used by the subcontractor require (your) close supervision to avoid errors in installation of any tile. They are not tile experts. Otherwise, they are great getting things done on time, a major problem with many other contractors.

  Went in for an initial ball-park estimate b/c several reviews said their prices were reasonable/low compared to others and unfortunately that wasn't true. K&B was upfront and professional, but I wouldn't describe their prices as reasonable and especially not low. We're two young professionals so we're not wealthy, but if we were, K&B would be a viable option. Out kitchen is less than 100 square feet so for us, the 40-50K estimate was way higher than we expected. I appreciated their candor about pricing though so I gave them a middle of the road rating, but their high pricing is what needed to be accurately reflected on here so others searching online could be better informed.

  I want to congratulate (and thank) Kitchen and Bath for working with my wife and me in remodeling the master bedroom bath in our Falls Church/McLean home. We selected Kitchen and Bath after interviewing several remodeling and contracting firms. We sought to engage a firm with whom we could work in addressing a number of design questions we had and help us in the selection of construction materials - tile, fixtures, cabinets - and the suppliers of each of these. When we started our bath remodeling project we did not realize just how many suppliers and contractors would become involved and how much we would look to the expert advice of K&B staff in selecting these suppliers/contractors. We were also impressed with the general construction contractor that K&B engaged to work with us. They were responsive to getting work done promptly and receptive to questions and suggestions we had during the process of installation of cabinetry, tile and fixtures. We will certainly recommend K&B and its partners to anyone who inquires. We have enjoyed showing off our remodeling work to neighbors and friends and sharing with them K&B as a firm we recommend if they wish to undertake similar projects.   The designer we worked with was absolutely incredible with the design program and creating exactly what we wanted. And everything was incredibly organized during the planning phase, from where we went to pick out tile, to who we paid and when--our hands were held throughout the process, which was nice, because it decreased the amount of work on us. We ended up with the most gorgeous, spa-like bathroom. There were a couple of negative points though that were really frustrating during the process though: --There was a lot of miscommunication or non-communication between the designer, the contractor, and us. For example, we ended up with a different floor pattern than what we had decided and what was on the print-outs from the designer; luckily for us, it was beautiful anyway. There were lots of times when the contractor didn't give us timing updates or notice of problems or roadblocks, and it seemed like the designer wasn't made aware of that either. We were constantly confused as to whether to go to the contractor or designer to resolve issues along the way. It all came to a head at several points when we were either worried the bathroom was taking the wrong direction (which we were luckily able to fix in time) or when there were roadblocks we weren't informed of that led to an exponential increase in the completion time and the need for us to continue to figure out alternatives for showering. --The designer was a bit pushy in the initial phases when he disagreed with something I had envisioned. In the end, he is highly trained and very good at what he does and I'm sure the bathroom he had in his mind would have been beautiful. I had to be a bit vocal with my ideas, to make it unique and not so cookie-cutter. In the end, we ended up with a beautiful bathroom and I couldn't be happier. I wouldn't turn anyone away from K&B--I just think I would do some more homework next time to compare more options before turning to them again.

  We love our new kitchen!! Kitchen & Bath Factory was wonderful to work with. They came up with a great design, maximizing our small space for storage and day-to-day utility. Our cabinets are beautiful and very sturdy. Janet and David are very responsive anytime you have questions. Waldemar is an excellent contractor - he is a great problem solver and he is also extremely responsive to all of our questions and requests. The work was completed in a very efficient manner, yet Waldemar didn't miss a single detail. Overall I could not have asked for a better experience and we will definitely use Kitchen & Bath Factory for our next house.
