  I am staying here currently for three weeks with my dog on a business trip. I originally picked the hotel because it was dog friendly but I have to say that the staff and service here is amazing. Ezekiel at the front desk greeted me with wine and dog treats/toys for my dog and Baby Dahl, I believe is her name, so kindly brought him a dog bed and helped tremendously yesterday. Totally recommend & happy to be here for a long stay.

  Beautiful views, very cool rooftop bar. Room was modern and romantic. Lots of stuff nearby. Walking distance to clubs, restaurants, and sightseeing. Concierge pointed us in the wrong direction twice so maybe rely on Google rather than the front desk for information.

  I am at the hotel now and I am extremely disappointed. For a 4 star hotel I at least thought I would have a bathtub. The hotel looks cheap, the lobby is horribly decorated. The rugs in the elevators are disgusting. This is definitely not a high end hotel. I tried to order room service and the gentleman on the phone basically talked me out of it. The rooftop is decent but that is it..

  Excellent hotel, we brought our dog on this trip and this hotel could not be more pet friendly. They also do a happy hour in the lobby every evening with free wine for all. The rooms were great and clean and the location was perfect for walking to all the sights and Metro station

  Gem of a hotel! I just had a great stay at the Kimpton Donovan. This was my first stay at this hotel and first at any Kimpton branded hotel. I was a bit nervous when I booked because the price was extremely reasonable considering the great location. Check in was smooth and the front desk staff courteous. Room was clean and the bed super comfortable. The room is a bit on the small side (not cramped by any means) however that is to be expected downtown and was perfect for me. Cleaning staff does a great job. I didn’t go to the restaurant or use any of the hotel amenities, so I can’t speak to those. Two things just to be aware of: 1. They will place an immediate hold of $200 for incidentals and 2. There is a charge of $26 a day for a resort fee that you will pay at checkout. As long as you know about this it won’t be a surprise and you can factor that in when price comparing. The hotel is in a great safe area and close to the Whit House, many restaurants. The metro is a short walk as well. Upon checkout, the gladly stored my bag while I attended meetings the rest of the day. All in all, I recommend this hotel and will stay here on my next business trip.
