  I have no idea how anyone could give this barber a good review. This man is a terrible barber and I actually felt bad for him so I didn't complain but had to go somewhere else to get it fixed. Maybe at one time this man was a good barber, but he was so old he could barely even hold up the clippers. I would never go back.

  I said to the barber, 'nothing off the top,' but he still took a good inch off the front. this was exactly what I asked him not to do. disappointed that he did not follow very simple instructions. otherwise okay I guess but who wants to use a barber that goes rouge or easily forgets his client's requests?

  While technically a very proficient barber, I will not be going back because he did not listen to what I asked for. I came in asking for a "trim" of my hair and lengthy beard. Hair was fine, I keep a style that only Sport Clips can seem to mess up. However, what I envisioned from a "trim and shape" of my beard, apparently meant to him cut it back to an 1/8th of an inch and leave me with just a chin strap (a look which I loath btw). I would of stopped him, but by the time I realize what he was doing (using the trimmers on my beard without the guard I'd assumed he'd had, it was already to late to save it so I sat there and let him finish butchering my face. Now I'm left with the options of going back to my summer goatee in March, or leave this as it is and hope it grows out quick. Thinking I'll go goatee (it's bad people. Not quite Jersey Shore grease ball, but close.) Lesson from this shop? You'd better define exactly what you want from him, or he'll do whatever he damn well pleases. I will NOT be going back. I typically go to Beverly Hills Barbers (which I HIGHLY recommend) on Dodge, but since they don't do beards, I tried somewhere new.

  Wouldn't chance it here. Called to inquire, found myself speaking to "Stan". Extremely rude, very pushy, basically a complete pig. Forced me off the line before I could even say "hair cut". Thanks for the experience, at least I didn't waste my time coming in.

  Stan has a great attitude and humble personality. He does a great job. After he cuts your hair, he carefully shaves around your ears with hot foam, and then uses a warm washcloth around your ears. Call ahead or stop by to get yourself on the schedule. His shop is located just below the lobby at the bottom of the marble stairs.
