  I really love this alternative to New World Mall, which is just down the street from it. It has an unsuspecting location, past favorites like Fu Run, Sentosa, White Beat, and Spicy and Tasty. Plus, it is also past a little shopping plaza with New Golden Szechuan in it as well. This unsuspecting place actually was better than New World Mall, both with quality and prices. It is bright, clean, and is easy to get a seat at (for lunch...) There must have been about 15 stands, each serving something different. There were 3-4 tea places, a few hand pulled noodle restaurants, Chinese BBQ, a Japanese place, and places to get authentic Chinese family meals. Surprisingly, though, I couldn't find any stand with soup dumplings. Your best bet for dumplings is Fu Zi Dumpling. Despite having no English except on a menu that they give only certain customers, this place is pretty successful. It has been gaining popularity and many people ventured towards it in favor of the wide selection of moist, succulent dumplings. Although it took longer than I had expected, I really enjoyed it. The pork and cabbage dumplings were great, moist, juicy, flavorful. I thought that they were cooked perfectly. They were inexpensive, and went well with their freshly made iced tea. For your noodle and meat needs, it would be great to try out Lu Taste, the stall as close to the bathrooms as possible. The girl behind the counter is super friendly and loves to talk and socialize. Although this isn't the busiest place, it is still delicious. Try the #4, the meat sauce ramen with fresh vegetables and herbs, and thick noodles, for $6. For homestyle Chinese meals, go to Guchun Private Kitchen. They have all of the authentic favorites, plus some innovative new dishes that I have never seen before, like the spicy beef with sliced pancake slices. The dish was complex, but it worked. Plus, they serve their soups and other dishes in bowls that look like ones given at a Korean restaurant! For authentic hand pulled noodles, go to Lanzhou Hand Pulled Noodles. This might not be the same one in New World Mall, but the quality is equivalent. They speak no English, so they rely on you to point and shake your head when they act out the maneuvers. Very cheap and they give you bang for your buck. Go with the duck noodle soup, fatty, rich in flavor. Plus, they have other standouts like clam noodle soup, the innards noodle soup, and mixed seafood noodle soup. For your bubble tea/juice needs, go to Happy Lemon. Happy Lemon is very cute, with their logo that seems to work for them. They are quite protective of their health, so they wear transparent masks. Really inexpensive for the amount of juice they give. I ordered the milk bubble tea, which tasted like a combination of 75% milk, 20% coffee, and 5% other ingredients. Great flavor, and the "bubbles" added to the drink. Plus, they were quick.
