  We have been going to Kay Jewelers at Jefferson Valley for years - and have nothing but positive things to say. The staff is friendly, attentive and knowledgable. We have purchased items, had jewelry repaired - and of course always take advantage of their in-store cleaning.

  I ask if they replace watch batteries they say yes, they don't even have the correct tool to do it. They try to pop the back of my watch with a little pocket knife. It was not a cheap watch even though a mickey mouse was on it. They needed certain tools to unscrew the back in order to open the watch to change the battery. If They were a real watch repair place, they would notice this and not try to pop open the back of my watch and in the process scratch the back.

  They don't ask if you want a service contract, they just add it to the price, which is well over $100.00, you then have to decline which they try hard to make you purchase. They told my wife to apply for a Kay charge card and there would be no interest for 12 months, when we get the statement it shows an interest charge. When the wife called they said if she put down 20% there would be no charge, (this was never mentioned), if we pay extra than the minimum this month they will credit the interest charge. If you ask me these are shady business practices.
