::Great environment in a seemingly up and coming neighborhood. If you like sours, this is the place for you. If you don’t, they have some beers from another brewery on tap and a decent selection of spirits. I didn’t eat, but the pizza looked amazing. Would have had I not just eaten enough to choke a goat a few minutes earlier. Nice place!

::Very disappointing this time! Instead of getting a gluten free prosciutto and artichoke pizza I was given a pepperoni and sausage on wheat crust. The server insisted the order was correct and I didn't press it when my guest indicated a preference for it. I ate the topping of 2 slices and tossed the remains. JP has had excellent service in the past but not today!

::Another edition of one of the best tap houses in Michigan. They have it down to a science by now. Usual selection of AMAZING sours from JP and more standard fare from North Peak. Great food, highlighted by the pizza. Super easy going atmosphere, as with all beer places the volume can rise a bit as the night goes on. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly!

::If it’s good enough for President Obama it’s good enough for me! Amazing place. Beautiful interior and layout with rustic harvest tables that encourage meeting new friends. Large space with lots of seating. An incredible and ever changing selection of local and house beer (regular or sour beer). I would recommend trying a ‘flight’ of beer to sample 5 selections off the extensive menu. I haven’t tried all of the food options because I haven’t gotten past the pizza. The B-E-S-T Pizza I have ever had in my life (I’m 41). A thin but not dry crust, impressive quality cheese and toppings and well balanced flavour combinations on every pizza I’ve tried. My favourites are the chicken with honeyed goat cheese and the leek and prosciutto. The staff are friendly and patient while you try to decide, safe Midtown neighbourhood, free parking across the road all weekend and check out Third Man Records, Traffic Jam and Snug, Shinola, City Bird etc all on the same block. On a Saturday night this is a fun place to share a beverage and know that you are in the company of an adult crowd that isn’t going to get drunk and stupid.

::Great brewpub! My standard food selection is the JP Burger + fries. The burger is cooked just perfectly to your liking with a nice compliment of cheese and mushrooms on top. One of the best tasting burgers I've ever had. Fries are excellent as well... Served European style with a garlicky mayo that is very tasty. On top of all that they have an excellent craft beer selection. A couple of flat screen tvs, wide open space with long bench seats make this a fun place to meet some friends, eat some great food and enjoy some high quality beer. Each time I come back to Detroit for a visit, I always come here for a meal and have never been disappointed.
