  It our family tradition to come and stay in the city for the holidays. Johnston and Murphy is on our list of places to stop by. Our experience today can be described as one of the shadiest retail experiences ever. I picked up two shirts and handed over to the sales associate. She informs me that both shirts are not in stock but can be shipped to me. I agreed and proceeded to continue with the transaction. Each of those shirts were on sale + 25% coupon. Total for both $74.98. I thought, really great price and was encouraged by the sales associate to pick two more, do I did. Suddenly one of the 1st shirts I picked are no longer available and the other shirt I picked from the same lot are no longer on sale. The whole thing was so ridicules, that I decided to walk away. This is wrong and in my opinion is a business practice that prays on tourists and the weary. I will no longer shop this store especially when no polite effort was done by the manager to explain or offer a solution. Don’t support such behavior. Don’t shop there.

  I enjoy the shoes here, but the pushiness of the staff (bringing out unrelated shoes I didn’t ask for, assuming I wanted add ons unless I explicitly said no) make me reluctant to buy again in person.

  A few years back, I purchased a rather expense pair of dress shoes here. Once day I needed to replace a broken shoelace. Not only were they very accommodating in getting replacement laces, the nice folks spoke to me about their shoe repair services. I'm going back there to have my shoes resoled and brought back to life.

  I knew what type of shoe I was looking for, and I was in the store and out with my purchase within 15 minutes. And the shoes are always great.

  Good deals on some quality merchandise. If I dressed in this manner often, I'm sure I'd be a regular. Helpful staff at this location as well.
