If you love books this is the place to be! They have everything you can imagine! They even have postcards from all around the world. the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I believe there were 4levels in total, have to spend the whole day if your there to browse. They even sell souvenirs which was nice. Loved the free books downstairs, was a nice touch.

Voted one of the coolest bookstores in the US. Plan your trip here carefully. Allow yourself time to search. The sections are organized by topic but not organized alphabetically which in my opinion adds to the adventure. See the picture of the map which will help with planning your visit. The staff is great and always willing to assist if needed. This is an awesome place for a weekend date. Fun and very unique. Plenty of lunch choices not far from the store either. Do yourself a favor and look at the vintage foreign postcards and comic books. Very cool.

I love this place, I've been visiting for years and have logged some serious hours in there. Four stories of epic used book adventuring. They have a friendly staff and small parking lot. Amazing size of book collection and good prices, but keep in mind this isn't Amazon or Barnes and noble. You aren't going to find the hottest new releases here. In my experience you're better off knowing what kind of book you're looking for than trying to locate a specific book - browse by category/subject or author. All in all I am a big fan of this place, it's a must-visit when I'm in the area.

I love visiting this place when I'm in downtown Detroit. I always walk away with really neat finds. The staff are also very knowledgable and helpful. Always worth making a trip in for a visit if you're into old booking.

This is definitely one of the larger bookstores I have ever encountered. Sure you get stores like Barnes & Noble that have more floor space, but that is used to sell little knick knacks and merchandise for popular shows and etc. This place is a book lover's dream and is almost literally packed with books. My girlfriend and I are both bibliophiles and we will definitely be coming back here! Just has such a nice rustic charm.
