If I could give less than 1 star I would. They came out to the house, filled my AC unit with 2 lbs of freon (at $265 per pound) without looking for a leak first. Total charge was $709. The very next day, my AC was gone again. They came back out and said they couldn't repair the problem and it would need a whole new system for $6500, but they would apply $350 towards the new system. Why not find the problem first before wasting $530 of freon and releasing it into the atmosphere? The manager based his diagnosis on us telling them that we think there is a leak instead of using their expertise to know for sure. Now I am out $709 and have no AC on the hottest day of the year. I will never use these guys again and I will tell everyone I know not to use them.

I'd call them scam artists, but don't you have to at least be efficient to earn that title? The first time they came out, they were over an hour late. I had to go to work but my tenant was there. They told me that sediment had gotten into the filter and that it might fix the problem if they replaced it. It would also be $400 and they wouldn't tell me how much the part cost. The plumber said he had to make a "supply run" and he'd call me when he was finished fixing it. I never received a call but my tenant hadn't complained so I figured that they would charge the card on file and that was that. I find out that he never came back to fix it. I call them 2 weeks later and they said it was because it was a special order part and they'd call me back. They still couldn't tell me what part it was. They apparently called me back 4 days later to try to set up an appointment, I didn't answer, so instead of waiting for my permission, they just decided they'd take the liberty to come into my house and fix it without me approving. I know this because when I finally answered the phone he said that there was still a problem with the shower. It was "thumping". When I went downstairs everything was working fine. My tenant apparently had heard the thumping too. Funny enough, a quick Google search will tell you that it's common when a shower hasn't been used in a while, for it to take a second for the air to come out of the pipes. Even my mother knew that. But he insisted that he might have to replace the whole faucet even though water was coming out. At this point I had enough and told him no way. While he was writing up the write up I asked him to list the costs for labor and parts (in the section of the form where it says parts and labor costs). He played dumb and then proceeded to tell me some of the costs came from having to make the supply run trip. Then he told me that he wasn't even able to get the part when he went on the supply run trip. So then I asked him if he had charged me for a supply run trip that wasn't even successful and he didn't answer. The best I could get him to do was write down what part it was that had to be "special ordered". It was a Glacier Faucet Filter which ranged from $7 to $30 and that I could have ordered and had at my door in 2 days. I will be reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau.

Had a great experience today with John C Flood when we just got home from a delayed flight and arrived at 5am to a condo sitting at 93 degrees. Called John C Flood and their on-call guy made it to our place in about 1.5 hours when we were quoted 2 hours. Brian and his assistant Raul were super friendly and explained the issue so we understood what was going on and also how to proceed if the issue persists as the work they did today may only be a temporary fix to a bigger problem. Great communication and their informing is what made me feel really good. I hear Flood may be a bit pricier than other places but I would say it's well worth the service.

Other than having a hard time getting some paperwork faxed over once and getting a call back once, they've been great for me. They installed an HVAC unit 8 years ago, installed a hot water heater 3 years ago, and then came back several times when I had some crazy tenants who kept trying to complain about things, and they replaced coils and replaced a thermostat on the hot water heater and didn't charge me anything. They've been very helpful with dealing with my crazy tenants, getting me everything I need and not charging anything additional. I also met someone a few weeks ago who said John C Flood is the one they always go to when they need plumbing or HVAC service, so I'm confident I'm dealing with good people.

Stay away from this company. I am going to try to keep this review as short as possible. The management of this company is unapologetically incompetent. Three times over the course of a week and half, the company should have called me but failed to do so. The first time a crew came out, they left to get a part, and never came back. Hours later, I called to the office and found out that the part wasn't available. They simply didn't call me to let me know this. This type of a lack of communication happened twice more extending the time I was without running water. The last straw occurred when, finally, another crew came out. They examined what needed to be done, called in to the office and then quoted me the price they had been told by the office. I asked them for a breakdown of the price but said they had to call the office for that. Suddenly, there was no one in the office who could breakdown the price for me (and apparently cell phones don't exist in their universe). This was two minutes after the crew called the first time to get a price. In addition to not having running water for a week because of this company, I now felt that I might be getting ripped off. I calmly offered the person at the office the option to provide me with a discount or I could call another company and write this review on as many review sites as I can find. He obviously chose to have a disgruntled customer. The lesson for others is: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
