  I have no idea why people like this place. It is a typical diner where food is overly greasy. The atmosphere is nice and the decor seems pretty decent for downtown Fresno, but food is why you come to a restaurant, and that was not good at all. Firstly, the choice of vegetarian dishes is non existent. Yes, I get it, it's a steakhouse, but still, even steakhouses have something for people who don't want to consume meat. Secondly, the food I ordered (Salmon BLT sandwich) was super greasy. Salmon was well cooked, but the bun was soaked in butter / mayo. Chips that you can get for free if you check in through the Yelp app were nicely thin, but also soaked in some sort of oil, and by soaked I mean you could see through them. The portions are very large, so you can definitely take some home. Finally, service was really good. Our waitress was really attentive and sweet. She really needs to find another job in a nicer restaurant though... Overall, a two star visit, mostly because of poor food (all members of my party said the same thing), but good service. There is street parking and parking in the nearby parking garage. Parking can be validated at the restaurant. Street parking is metered.

  Was in town for a show and decided to give Joe’s a shot. 5 of us has steaks. Filet, NY, Porterhouse. We were pretty blown away by the quality and price. Everything was perfectly cooked and our waitress (Rose?) was great. Funky old school vibe. Couldn’t have been happier....

  Quiet little tucked away steakhouse. Ordered the porterhouse. NOT going to say it disappointed. But the check did not reflect cut. The sides were.... plain. Tasty, but not anything I'd write home about. The service. Our waitress was on top of her game. So no real complaints here.

  Awesome value! We got these,drinks, soup, and a big plate of calamari rings for only $36! These plates are huge by the way. We got there about 10 minutes before closing time and they still were super friendly and let us order. We were there till 9:30 (30 minutes passed closing time) and the waitresses were still super friendly. It was really quiet in here so I hope they get more business. Thanks for great service!
