::Went in today to buy fabric. First the heavier set lady At the cutting counter was rude and took forever to get to me while I was the only one there. The. The girl at the counter with the neon color in her hair took her time taking care of hold items while we waited for her to get done before she could check us out with 2 items. She used a 5 off 30 coupon and then would not make the 50% coupon competitor coupon from michaels work even though it was a full priced fabric item. She would only use one discount and not fix the issue with the other or Call someone else to help. Worst service I have ever had at a Jo Annβs. This staff needs to be retrained or replaced. I will be finding a better place to shop for future purchases and I recommend that you all do too. This store has gone way down hill in the past year.

::There's always a line here, whether it's at the fabric counter or the checkout, or both. I only come her for fabric - there's rarely anything they have that's better than Michael's 2 stores down. Always have your coupons ready too!

::Conveniently located and easy to find the store. Free parking in the mall lot. Always very busy (even early afternoons or late mornings). Friendly and helpful service from the associates. Not well stocked or organized often though. No custom framing service is provided here.

::They had pretty good prices for the sale. Staff was friendly and helpful. The store felt a bit cramped, though. Selection was wider than usual.

::Pull a number from the machine while you are shopping if you are going to have fabric cut. Don't wait until you have finished shopping, or you will be standing and waiting at the counter for a long time. Since Joann's is pretty much the only fabric and sewing store in the area, the selection is limited to what they offer, which is often not what I am looking for. They have lots of fabric for quilters, crafters, families with small children, and some upholstery selections. I have not found more upscale fabrics that can be used for the reason I spend the time sewing: quality clothing. It would also be helpful to find patterns there for clothing for fall and winter, not just spring and summer. They do have some cute patterns for girls and their dolls, but not so much for boys. The notions and craft stock are plentiful, and I can usually find someone to advise me if I have a question. The all important parking is free.
