  Please watch out here...the employees still tips from their coworkers and dont divided it evenly..and if there are parties please just tip the person who was working hard cuz if u give it to the person in charge they just might pocket the money themselves too..what a SHAME...everyone should be treated equally...just cuz your mad at someone they dont get their tips..but qhat goes around will come back...

  A magical place of natural beauty. It still carries it's Japanese imprint with great teas and coffee and yummy treats and food. Go for lunch or Kaffee and Kuchen/ la merienda. You will also admire the unique Tejano imprint of the decorative cement sculptures.

  Last Thursday, I saw something I never ever expected to see at the Tea Gardens. A bride, dressed in white and holding a bouquet of flowers, was about to descend the stairs and take her wedding vows. Suddenly, a short Hispanic man identifying himself as the GENERAL MANAGER?!, came outside. He began yelling at the bride and demanding she pay a fee. Her friends had already been trying to calm the bride down beforehand, as this was clearly an emotional time. They assured the manager that they would pay, and i heard one of them say it was a simple misunderstanding...they simply didn't know...could he just wait a moment while she said her vows, the asked? Not only did the general manager refuse, but he moved over and stood directly in front of the bride and yelled some more. "You go inside FIRST! THEN you can go downstairs!" The bride began to cry again, but she went inside with him. She seemed upset and terrified but cooperated. I have witnessed a lot of unprofessional behavior in my time, but who stops a bride from taking her wedding vows just to pay a fee?? No matter what, I'm quite sure he could have waited a few moments. To my knowledge, the park is a public place and I've never seen any signs to indicate you have to stop at the Jingu House to ask permission. The GM could have handled the situation better. Now I understand why that restaurant always seems so empty.

  Had a great strawberry bubble tea but it was a little pricey. I inadvertently payed over $5 for a tiny Chinese soda my daughter wanted. As a family we had two teas and two sodas for $20.

  I was expecting so much more from this place. Went with my daughter and ordered the Bubble tea, which was not even close to what I have tasted at other restaurants. Also, their hospitality department needs major improvements. Not sure if they know how to be kind and polite to visitors and patrons. I will not be going back to the restaurant but the Japanese tea garden was so beautiful. I will take my own lunch next time to avoid the rude treatment by the ladies inside.
