  My boyfriend and his friends live in Fresh Meadows, and whenever I'm at his place, we're always wondering where to eat around the area, without having to drive too far, or go to the city. One weekend, we were bored and hungry, and turned to trusty Yelp to guide us. I had seen Mian on the bus to his place, but didn't know much about it, until I saw all the good reviews. We decided to take a chance, and I'm glad we did. Mian means noodle in Chinese, so I figured this place must specialize in noodle dishes. My favorite Chinese noodle dish is Beef Chow Fun, and their Stir Fried Rice Broad Noodles is basically the same thing. My boyfriend ordered the noodle soup, and our friends ordered a rice dish. We also decided to split a Jumbo Shrimp with Spicy Mayo. The jumbo shrimp dish is not the same as the shrimp with mayo dish usually served at Chinese restaurants (the mayo is a spicy mayo), but it was still pretty good (even for those who detest spicy food). There were about 8 jumbo shrimp, so everyone in our group was able to have 2. My noodle dish was delicious, and it comes in such a huge serving, that I couldn't even finish it! I took it back home, and brought it to work the next day for lunch, and it heated up pretty well! My boyfriend enjoyed his noodle soup, and our friends even liked their rice dishes! A bonus, the dishes are really affordable (We all paid about $10 for our food, and the appetizer). The interior of Mian does remind me of Saint's Alp Tea House in St. Marks, as another reviewer mentioned. The chairs are similar to stools, so there's nowhere to really place your coat. However, when we arrived, it was a little chilly in the restaurant (not sure if there was heat?), so everyone was just wearing their coats anyways. Next time we're bored/hungry, I'll definitely be suggesting this place again!
