Exploring this historical courthouse was well worth the time. The architecture and building interior are amazing. The park service has done and excellent job on the restoration and it's been maintained very well. There are plenty of park service attendants available if you have questions about the courthouse.

The improvements to the Arch grounds are striking, they have beautifully connected it to downtown St Louis. When the museum opens on July 4th, it will become a true destination beyond just the Arch. The new construction has KILLED parking however, so expect a long walk, on the upside, the walk will be more pleasant!

I love to come here to take fun photos with the arch, or to sit on the steps with a picnic and look out to the river. There are parking garages nearby, or you can walk up Market Street and enjoy all of the interesting statues heading down toward the Arch. The Courthouse is located nearby, where you can visit the Dread Scott Museum. The grounds of this park are absolutely gorgeous.

We went in the morning to avoid the crowds - I highly recommend doing the same. Plan ahead for security. Only one lane was open so the line was very long. I was nervous we were going to miss our tram but we made it just in time. If you are going to the top, leave big bags, bulky coats, large purses behind because the tram itself will be very crowded. Overall, it was a memorable experience but I wish I knew what I was getting myself into!

Enjoyed viewing the interior of this fabulous building and the surrounding area outside and around the arch. The rotunda is really cool to see and the giant flag is certainly impressive. Interestingly, the massive flag has only 33 Stars, but Missouri was the 24th State admitted to the Union? We had a good time exploring before going over to the Gateway Arch. People were friendly and helpful making this an enjoyable stop.
