  Customer service is always great at this location. The staff is always willing to assist with anything, and gives good advice on wardrobe choices. The store is always clean, and in order. I never have difficulty finding items I need. Good stuff!

  The staff here is very friendly and helpful! I've been coming back many times for the great selections and affordable prices (compared to J. Crew proper).

  i'm glad to have a j.crew mercantile in town! it's essentially a j.crew factory store, renamed, but it's a great addition because prior to their opening, if you were to purchase j.crew factory items online and needed to return them for whatever reason, you'd have to pay to ship them back (or drive to san marcos). now you can just return them at mercantile. the first time i visited, everything in the store was 40% off. prices were reasonable for the most part, although there were a few dresses that were still pretty pricey after the discount. quality seems to be hit-or-miss. some of the more basic things like their v-neck tees are just fine, and some of the sweaters and button-down shirts looked normal, but there were a good number of bottoms that were made of cheap material. accessories are usually decent here, so worth checking out. i'm not sure if mercantile will be stocking any actual j.crew items at all, but when i visited, i didn't see a single real j.crew item. although it takes a little more looking, you can still manage to find a couple decent, good-quality pieces!

  This place is fantastic. Not only are the employees friendly but they're incredibly helpful if asked to help you find something. If they don't have what your looking for in store, they'll also help you order it... RIGHT IN THE STORE!!! And right in the heart of San Antonio at the Alamo Quarry Market to boot. :D
