  I have been coming to James for years to get my haircut and can't stand going anywhere else. He is always takes the time to talk to me first and understand what I want. Also, the view from union square is incredible! Just make sure you book your next appointment before you leave or at least a couple weeks before.

  Best Hair Saloon in SF, try his Potrero location as well. Big plus is that everyone is nice.

  James has been cutting my hair for the last 3 years. He and his team are true pros and and know how to offer a great cut with fantastic service. The salon is first class - with penthouse views Union Square. They also just opened another location in Potrero hill which is smaller but close to my house so now I go there. Go to union square to check out top rated stylists and great views.

  I've been a client of Annie's for some time! She does my balayage and cut and she's amazing! She's meticulous and takes her time to make everything perfect! She is very knowledgeable about all the products she uses and I especially love that she explains the process and tells me what she's doing and recommends great products for keeping my hair beautiful and healthy!

  High above Chanel in a high fashion penthouse overlooking Union Square you will find James Colgan. If you are a fashion plate that lunches at Neiman's, indulges Barney's and shops for Dior timepieces in-between, there is no reason to be styled anywhere else. If Sex And The City were filmed in San Francisco, this is there the girls would have come to get their hair styled. This is a boutique salon where the stylist have all trained with the best artists in the country, and many of them have trained with Nick Arrojo (famous for What Not to Wear) in New York. You can be confident that your cut, color, or blow dry will be on point. I work in the beauty industry myself and insist on perfection every time. The service must be perfect where my needs are anticipated and taken care of. I was given a cushioned pad for my laptop so that I could work from the salon chair. I was given a drink of my choosing and chocolate. During my visit, I mentioned that I wanted a massage, and the staff is working on booking one for me as I continue to do my work. I travel all over North America working tirelessly, and it is so nice to know that the James Colgan group is here to make my life easier. They allow you to chat or just sit in silence to enjoy being pampered.
