The wait was quick even though it was packed and our waiter was very kind and patient. The food was very delicious we got the buffalo chicken Mac n cheese. It didn’t lack flavor and it was not salty. Super delicious, perfect amount of cheese and chicken. We also ordered the 6 hour short rib (didn’t know what it was, but in other words it was like a pot roast!) and that was delicious as well. The portions are massive we (2) brought home left overs that’ll serve as another full dinner. For the price you pay you get more than that. The only thing I didn’t like was that the music was so loud we had to yell at each other. My sister who was with me is hearing impaired and we couldn’t talk much because she couldn’t hear me over the music.

With had a party of 10 so we made reservations. When we got there will still had to wait for about 10 minutes. This was not surprised about since the place is always packed. The honey julep tasted like bourbon, honey and water. The was no hint of mint. It was just a garnish. Others at my table had the jam jar and loved it! The pickles were good. The green beans are the best. The grits taste like they are made of 90% cheese. The chicken and the buscuits are very good. The table ordered three separate orders of biscuits to go. They consolidated two orders of biscuits into one bag and saw no issue with it. They also did not put my leftover grits into my to go container. I am pretty sure they consolidated those as well and gave them to one of the other people at my table. The portions are big and you will most likely have leftovers. Make sure you check what they put in your to go bag especially if you are with a large group!

ALWAYS packed so try and make a reservation! And yeah, there’s a reason it’s always packed... the food and drinks are DELICIOUS!!! Try the Buffalo Mac N Cheese and drink it down with a Porch Sipper. And if you still have room... smash a Bread Pudding, but be sure to bring company as it can feed 4 for desert! Love this place, one of my all time favorites the world over. PS Jacob the owner is a legend, and just LOVES his food. Get him to tell you the story of how it started if you get a chance... 😉👍

The ambiance is laid back and comfortable, giving one the sense of being down South inside an old plantation home turned "comfort food" restaurant, with the speed of a New York restaurant...yet you never feel rushed to vacate your table. The food and drinks are mouth watering, with an abundance of "local" items on the menu. There are a good number of carefully considered mixed drinks that are often a fun spin on a classic, and a large variety of pickles that can be easily packed to take home. The portions are quite large, so you will probably go home with the remainders or it might be a good idea to share. The biscuit sandwiches are SO GOOD.

A friend of mine have been telling me to go here for a while. They told me about a bacon egg cheese and chicken sandwich that Jacob served so I decided to go try it for myself. It was all kinds of delicious. But I really loved about this place is the atmosphere it has. My friends and I got there sometime around 3, maybe a little later. Lights were on lights were still coming from outside and though there was construction right outside the door you could barely hear it inside the restaurant. The music was like they were playing old-school 90 songs. All of a sudden it probably at 6 p.m. and it was dark and it turned into a mood. I was ready to grind on somebody. Again this place has the best atmosphere period come for the food stay the pickles and chill
