  Stopped in to see about buying a hat for my dad as a Christmas gift. The owner of the store, Jay, immediately introduced himself and offered his assistance. It became quickly obvious that I was not prepared to buy the right hat because I simply did not know the names of the styles I was looking for - let alone the size my dad wears. Jay quickly and comprehensively started breaking it down to my wife and I. He knows hats and knows them well. All I had to do was produce a picture of my dad wearing one of his many hats and Jay told me what my dad's hat styles and tastes were. Period. Equipped with the information I needed to buy my dad's hat I will be back with the size and make the purchase. I would like to specially point out that other than Jay's knowledge and expertese, his overall customer service was top-of-the-line, his ability to ask and answer the right questions to understand what my needs were certainly make J-B's #1 Hat Store a credit to the difficult world of small business ownership.
