I think this is a great gym. The coaches are all very attentive and help me with my form so i can do the exercises properly and not hurt myself. I also really like the class selection. In addition to the regular CrossFit classes, they offer Endurance, rowing, and Fundamentals classes for those of us who are either beginners or who prefer not to do so much Olympic weightlifting. They still use weights, but more often we use the kettlebells. Another thing that is great for me is how kind the people are. I am....not exactly the fittest or the youngest person in any class, but everyone has always been very supportive. The coaches just help me scale each exercise to my abilities. And I am making progress! The gym is very clean and there are nice touches in the locker rooms like hair elastics, Q-tips, and band-Aids, as well as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the showers. Plus, it's right near the Arlington T stop,so it's very accessible. It's not cheap, but you have to pay to get the best! I feel like it's well worth it. You really can't put a price on good health.

Some of the best coaches and programming I have ever seen at a gym. People who really care about fitness, and the people they serve. Highly recommended. (been going for over a year) I just read a negative review of the athletes and coaches. I will say that while yes, this gym has some of the top athletes in CrossFit, they are also some of the most friendly and welcoming people I've ever met. It doesn't matter if you are starting out or experienced, they treat everyone the same.

Brace yourself for social suicide. People here are patently laughable. Every male comes complete with Napoleon complex, as not a single one will stand over five feet and eight inches. Every female comes complete with a pedestal so high up that you'll never even get as much as a whiff of their attention. The gym is tiny, and good luck signing up for your class as much as two weeks in advance. It's almost as if the coaches want you to fail, so they can look better.

Take the best parts of CrossFit and plop them down in Boston's Back Bay; that's what you get here. The coaches and the community make this a very special place. This place brings together true professionals who are dedicated to complete fitness, incorporating a bevy of regular barbell-oriented WODs, gymnastics-focused classes, powerlifting and Olympic lifting classes, yoga and mobility sessions, and endurance programming. What's more is that every single coach is really focused on encouraging you to be the best athletic version of you that's possible. I love that. In addition to the wonderful team working at RCFBB, there is a great sense of community here. Bern Prince leads a lot of the social activities (e.g., Friday night outings, formal and semi-formal events) but there are a lot of other ways that community is built and supported here. Since joining in 2013, I have seen members support the Boston Iron (NPGL) team at matches, get together to run mud races or other endurance events, cheer on members running marathons, and team up to participate in local weightlifting or CrossFit competitions. It really feels like one big fitness family. Whenever I'm traveling for work, I realize just how special this particular environment is. I strongly encourage anyone who wants more than a typical gym experience to check out the place!
