::If you are looking for a New Orleans gift that was actually MADE IN NEW ORLEANS, then you need to go to IJ Reilly's Great local wares, bad ass owners. You can rent bikes tours there too, which are also awesome.

::Such a lovely little art & gift store that's off the main tourist path but right behind Frenchmen Street next to the park. The owners Cassady & Heather also run a bike rental business out of the shop "A Bicycle Named Desire." They were both really friendly, offered me info on all the local artists they represent & music recommendations. Everything in the store is made, written or sung by a New Orleans local. Great jewelry, books, cool art and some really neat little finds at non-tourist trap prices. I got a Tools of the Trade crawfish boil t-shirt for a friend, hand painted light switch plate & a pack of handmade bicycle themed notecards. Got the mom a Louisiana Love card. :) Bikes were great prices too..check it out!
