A move from Nashville to Dallas resulted in damage to so many things, 3 requiring an upholsterer. Ivan repaired all of them. There are 4 accent chairs that he made look better than new. A loveseat bed that was damaged and he repaired. That item I had had recovered in TN so I was sick to see it so damaged. Ivan did a beautiful job on it. The worst was our padded headboard that was just destroyed. They used a razor blade to remove the wrapping and sliced the fabric, and the pads they used left marks that looked like tire tracks all over it. We went and picked out the fabric we wanted, and he recovered it. He did a beautiful job. He takes great care in the way he handles things. I am very picky, and I am super impressed. My husband is very impressed as well. He is clearly an artist and takes great pride in his work.

Ivan did a wonderful job re-stuffing the cushions on my leather couch. I thought it was destined for the dump, but after having the leather refinished and Ivan taking care of the cushions, it is like new. I really appreciated Ivan's polite professionalism. Thanks so much!!

IGS Professional Upholstery is just great! As a highly skilled craftsman, with an extensive knowledge of furniture construction and upholstery fabrics, Mr. Ivan Sanchez is a soft-spoken, genteel man of integrity. With over 30 years experience, he “knows” furniture, from the inside out. He has a reverence for quality workmanship and wants his customers to understand the process that goes into each piece. He wants to please his customers. Mr. Sanchez has re-upholstered over ten pieces for me. He is prompt, fair, communicates clearly, and keeps me informed. Each time, the result is a beautiful product with notable attention given to the smallest detail. Your project will be in excellent, and honest, hands with IGS Professional Upholstery. Friends recommended him to me; I wouldn’t use anyone else!

Ivan Sanchez was incredible unprofessional, rude, forceful, disrespectful and falsified his report to the insurance claims department. Here is a recount of Ivan's visit. Ivan was supposed to provide a second third-party inspection of a couch damaged in a move per the request of the insurance claims department. Before we could schedule an inspection, he lied to the insurance company claiming we denied his inspection. Eventually we managed to get him scheduled to inspect the damaged couch frame. The inspection lasted a total of 9 minutes from the time Ivan entered the house to the time he left. We were told Ivan was supposed to inspect the couch and nothing more. During this time Ivan was incredibly rude, inconsiderate and forceful. Ivan inspected the couch by taking off the cushions and pressing down with his hands. That was the extent of his inspection. After removing the three cushions and pressing down, Ivan stood up and asked where our Glider was. We were confused as, again, we were told IGS was only to inspect our couch as Accent Furniture needed the upholster to take off and put back on the bottom fabric to inspect the frame. He did none of that and failed to properly inspect the couch. I asked Ivan about instructions we were given he became increasingly rude and forceful saying he completed his inspection (blatant lie), and aggressively put a paper in our face saying he had his instructions and asked if we were denying the gliders inspection. Given his forceful and intimidating demeanor, we obliged. We simply asked him to be as quiet as possible as our 10 month old daughter was napping in there--again, we were told Ivan was going to inspect the couch and unaware he was inspecting the glider. We assumed Accent Furniture informed Ivan what to look for/what was damaged and bc he never asked what problems we were experiencing. Ivan spent 20 seconds in the room (yes, we timed it) before he walked out and headed past us to the stairs. We followed him and I politely asked if he had an idea what was wrong with the couch and how to fix it. This clearly irritated him even more and he angrily said he could not discuss anything but that he had his opinion. I was taken aback by his rudeness and simply asked if he heard the creaking and groaning of the frame. Ivan said he heard nothing (no surprise as he only pressed his hands down on the couch). I politely asked him to sit on the couch as the weight of a human body results in the couch frame's creaking and groaning. Ivan did not sit but rather stood immediately to my side. I asked a second time thinking he did not hear me. He glared at me and remained standing. My wife and 2 yr old joined me on the couch at which time it made all the creaks, groans and squeaks as we claimed. Ivan continued staring at me, clearly irritated as if I were wasting his time. After my family demonstrated the problem and everything was clearly audible, I asked Ivan if he had heard and had an idea of how to fix it. He continued glaring and answered " I heard nothing. My inspection is completed". Not wanting to press the issue, I thanked him for his time and followed him to the door. A few hours later I got to thinking about his 20 second glider inspection. I called him to ask if he know what we claimed and was supposed to inspect. Ivan was even more rude and short. Stating he opened and closed the footrest and everything worked properly and was not able to inspect the glider because a baby was in the room. I told Ivan there was never a problem with the footrest and he was supposed to inspect the rocking mechanism as it catches and doesn't glide properly due to the way the movers carried and jarred it. Ivan angrily repeated himself that the footrest functioned properly and there was a baby in the room. He was clearly angry and became very forceful saying he was going to write a report to the insurance company stating no damage to either piece of furniture and that I didn't allow him to fully inspect the glider. He ended the conversation abruptly. I hope to never work with Ivan.
