  Best elementary in Memphis! My child is in the 4th grade, but 5th year here overall. We've attended since kindergarten. In all honesty, we've only had issues with ONE teacher. (Mrs Shaver). Otherwise, wonderful school. The principal is great. The office staff is phenomenal. We love the cafeteria staff as well as the aftercare program. The only thing that would make Idlewild absolutely perfect is if it carried on into a middle school. :-)

  Every school in Memphis should be so fortunate as to have Randy Thompson as a principal. With him as a tutor, whatever school lands Mr. Humphreys as a principal will be blessed.
