This is a beautiful hotel with great amenities. The breakfast buffet wasn't included with our room but was worth the $18.99. The check-in took less than 5 minutes and our checkout was even faster. The only thing was the pool was closed for most of the time and the hot tub wasn't even working. Would of been nice to take a dip in the pool and hot tub. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Great attempts at quality service, great location, but much of the staff was ill informed about some of the necessities. Possibly a management problem. There was no parking available in the garage most of the weekend. Wish a conference center-style hotel had steaming or press services for dress clothes but at least they had portable steamer and iron. Great place for conferences and events too. Roof top pool was really cool too!

Generally underwhelmed. Felt staff was not as helpful as many lower tier Hyatt properties. Booked with 2x more points than we use at many other better Hyatt Properties, also used a club upgrade. Expected a preferred room. What we got was a view of an ugly building and a roof with AC units and stuff on it, no river view, really underwhelmed by the room in general. I would have expected a more modern bathroom, glass doors on the shower and so on like we see at quite honestly cheaper and lower tier Hyatt Properties. Not sure why Regency costs more but in reality you get less, much less. Made a few attempts to work with front desk staff to get a better room and just felt like they wanted me to go away. Hope the property sends me an internal survey but for some reason I doubt they will. Also we have generally had good experience with Hyatt properties feeling and smelling "fresh". Our room was musty smelling, like moldy and the AC couldn't get the room cooler than about 73 degrees. Ran all night and never cooled down.

Fantastic location, easy access to everything. But the parking attendants were kind of rude, just asked for the keys at check in, without identifying themselves, so they didn't get my key. There's construction going on behind the hotel, making a heck of a lot of noise, And the Jacuzzi is completely covered up, and hasn't been used in a long time. The gym was nice. And I still haven't figured out what the front desk did with my room rate. They authorized my CC for $1006.71 at check in, the total costs were $1022.71, they authorized another card for $791.10, and another for $80.00 for parking for two days. They were training a couple girls at the front desk, and the manager said all of this will be credited back on Tuesday, and gave us a free breakfast, and then they charged us for the free breakfast $46.00. But the area is awesome, the Florida theater is right down the street, the concierge's were awesome, very helpful. The water taxi was basically right at your back door, which took you across to an absolutely wonderful Science and History museum, and a 30 minute tour of the St. John's River. And the Jacksonville Landing has some outstanding bands after 8:00 pm..

This is by far one of the best hotel stays I have ever had! The bed is phenomenal on the pillows are the fluffiest I have ever experienced. The staff is amazing and very friendly. Even though they had flooding from the hurricane it was very clean and everyone is very professional. When I ordered room service, it was fast and efficient, not to mention delicious! When they found out it was my birthday the even sent me a little cake! I want to give special recognition to Angela who was so sweet and such a kind hearted person. She is the one who thought of me on my birthday while I was away from my family on a business trip and brought me a cake. I couldn't have had a better stay than the one I had here, you guys are doing everything right. Thank you!
