  Great wine tastings on Thursdays and Fridays. Very knowledgeable and friendly team. Beautifully designed shop with a fantastic collection of spirits.

  The team at HPWS is simply the best. Have been coming here since my first day in the neighborhood and aside from a carefully considered, well-rounded and well-priced selection of wines, this place is part of the local community - the team knows their neighbors, host weekly wine tastings, and are great to talk to - they really know their wines (and spirits!) - I'll usually walk away excited about discovering a new wine I've never heard of.

  I work around the corner and went in to purchase a gift for someone and I was amazed by the level of service I received! I walked in and was acknowledged immediately, asked me if I needed any assistance. I explained what I was looking for and what kind of rum the person likes and they knew right away what to suggest and were very knowledgeable. He asked if I wanted to taste the rum and I said of course. He took me to the back and poured me a shot of the rum and talked me through the taste, I was sold immediately. I don't think I've ever had that level of service anywhere else at all. The presentation is also great and the store is very organized! Will definitely be back again

  Great prices , patient service , knowledgable staff and amazing variety ! What more can you ask for ? (The Malaka 2008 is highly recommended .)

  The place has always been good offering a fine selection of wines and spirits. But, the new guys, along with Tony have taken it to another level. Amazing selection of $20 or less wines from all over the world. These guys are knowledgeable, engaging, and fun to visit. Much more activity and a more inviting atmosphere. This IS the place for wine and spirits in the neighborhood...hands down and 2 thumbs up!
