This is a great museum with a historic house and planetarium. The exhibits changed every few months, so there is always something new to see. There is also a gift shop, parking lot, and beautiful view of the Palisades.

This museum used to be politely viewed as sleepy but Wow that has changed. The last couple years there have been a series of great contemporary shows & at present the Neo-Victorians exhibit is surpassing expectations. Make sure to walk into Glenview the old mansion that adjoins the museum - there is a spectacular ( & truly odd ) piece in the main foyer.

Very cool little museum with contemporary local art as well as Hudson River school classics. It even has a neat little planetarium, with an excellent projector and well run showings. Downstairs has my favorite exhibit, a huge table top topographical map of the entire Hudson River with historical charts, maps and ferry schedules from all up and down the river. Gives an excellent perspective on the geography and geology of the region and state.
