  Price gouging in Penn station is just the way it goes. Everything from snacks and water to books is marked up in these stores. My terrible review is based not on the fact that they take advantage of people in the closed market of the station. It's based on the fact that the product they sold me did not work. I'm giving them one star for selling $30. headphones that did not work. A BIG disappointment. I needed some headphones to do work on the train ride home and my 5 year old ones had just given up the ghost on the way to the train. I took a deep breath in the station and paid the ridiculous price thinking that I would be able to get some work done and then would have a working pair. No such luck. These headphones do not work. Selling bum goods to people on their way out of town is a huge scam. It's much better to give your money to a corner store. At last a small business owner might appreciate the business and is less likely to be focused on ripping customers off. Hudson Booksellers is a terrible rip-off chain store. I should've known better passing this along so others will.
