  There is a reason the average reviews here are less than two stars. I have wasted enough time at this branch dealing with terrible customer service, that I do not want to waste any more going over the details. Just know to do your banking somewhere else if you can help it. Based on the experience, I would never recommend HSBC.

  they asked me why I want to deposit.money.almost refuise it.and saying it is normal.my opinion -unprofessional.

  The worst experience of my life with a bank - don't make it yours! Avoid this branch and avoid the bank as their Customer Services team is a disaster. I'm sure ANYTHING would be better than HSBC in the US - and there's plenty more options to choose from in Manhattan. Their statement 'The world's local bank' is SO far from the truth. My family and I have banked with them for years overseas, and I thought it would be a smooth transition. WRONG. They couldn't have made the experience harder even if they had tried to. The amount of money and time wasted here is just unreal. It's been almost 3 months and I'm still struggling to get myself setup with them. Save yourself the hassle and take your business elsewhere.

  NEVER EVER. A bunch of jokers. These folks simply went ahead and closed my account without even letting me know. Customer care as always stood me up on the phone for hours. Worst thing ever.
