  JUL 2017 For a military-heavy area, like San Diego, the people here did not know how to handle taxes for military members. This is a direct criticism on how H&R Block handles their training/certification of their employees. And if an H&R Block employee screws up your taxes and then you need to come back to get it fixed, H&R Block will charge you additional fees to correct their mistake, unless you purchased the "Peace of Mind" package when you file taxes through them. Overall, I was not impressed with H&R Block's services. DEC 2017 After paying the extra fees and addressing our original issue, we got another state notification saying that we did not file our taxes properly, even though H&R said they fixed this very same issue from July. We are being charged late fees by the state for H&R's mistake. In conclusion, I am never using H&R's services again.

  they messed up but the hillcrest branch fixed it for free

  MARIA FERNANDEZ was intentionally rude and extremely unprofessional on multiple occasions. They FAILED TO SEND IN MY TAX RETURN after taking a payment from me and then refused to provide me with either a refund or the original copy of my return - not to mention the numerous problems this caused for me with the IRS. This was an unbelievably bad experience.
