I have been a student at Houston Muay Thai for 9 months, and I have enjoyed every second of it.Bob and Mike are both very nice and are straight forward caoches that are glad to help you either with something in class you didn’t understand or really and scenario. On top of that, they are always giving back w/ every month a certain amount of Facebook check-ins to a good cause making it by far the best Muay Thai Gym in Houston.

Without a doubt the best gym in Houston. Texas or even the US for that matter. I’ve been to a lot of gyms and this one takes the cake. I’ve Been a member since day 1 and atmosphere hasn’t changed. Quality is what you get day in and day out from the owners and instructors. Whether it’s learning Traditional Muay Thai or learning how to properly defend yourself. You will leave Houston Muay Thai with nothing but positive energy and eagerness for the next day of classes. Thank you Houston Muay Thai for all you have done for me. 🙏🏼

I’ve been wanting to try Muay Thai for several years now, but I’m one of those women who has serious gym fear. The thought of getting out of my car and walking through a parking lot and into the door is enough to toss me into a full blown panic attack. But everyone has their “New Year, new you” resolutions, and this time, doing this was mine. I walked into Houston Muay Thai today shaking like an absolute leaf, and I probably wouldn’t have made it in from the lot if I wasn’t with my amazingly supportive brother. As soon as Bob started our private lesson, I was SO happy I climbed those stairs. I’m an absolute beginner, but he was able to clearly and effectively communicate the basic techniques all while giving me a really cool history lesson about Muay Thai. One of the best parts was any time I needed to actually see something in action to understand it, the people mingling around us stepped in to help educate me without any sort of judgement at my newness and there was certainly no level of gym intimidation. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and willing to help me learn. I live an hour and a half away from HMT. My initial plan was to do this private lesson with Bob and, if I liked it, try to find something closer to home to continue learning. As soon as my lesson was over, I knew there would be no way I could find another place that made me feel so comfortable, and I definitely can’t imagine searching for an instructor who has the passion to teach as well as Bob does. I’ll 100% be returning, and would give this place 10 stars if I could!

This has to be one of the best gyms in Houston, even Texas. The coaches are friendly and patient and so are the veteran fighters and students. They have no problem taking the time to give you pointers or spend time helping you fix techniques that you are struggling with. It’s a place that makes you feel like your part of a family. Great fighters come out of this gym and it’s also great for people like me who just like to train and be in shape. I’m a woman and I never feel intimidated or singled out. There are separate classes for those who are beginners and those who are experienced which makes getting into it so much easier. Also, every month they run a charity check in event benefitting different causes and charitable organizations For anyone who doesn’t feel this gym is everything you’d ever need in a fight gym, it’s probably best to stay at 24 hr fitness and work out alone listening to hate metal. For those who want to be a part of something and better yourself, give it a chance.
