  We went as a large groupand it was a mixed bag. Some people said their food was great and other said it was not even good. The owner of the location was apparently there and the staff was acting strangely and charging for the smallest items. If the owner is going to nickel-and-dime for the smallest things it will turn people away for sure. This location is been here forever and when it comes to pie and pastries there's always something for someone that they will enjoy. Stick to the breakfast items, as lunch and dinner items very greatly in quality taste and texture.

  This place was phenomenal to eat at. Located in Houston Texas the service was great and the food was even better. The cost of the meal was very inexpensive. I recommend everyone go there to eat if you're looking for a cost-effective and great service.

  I would say this place's strength manifests as consistently good food. All of the pies seem delicious (although I've only tried a handful). The hours they hold make them a popular choice. The diner-style food wont blow you away but it's pretty good. Some items are pricey some are more reasonable. You cant go wrong with the breakfast or burger options.

  The food was good, it's the first time I ask for anything other than pies. The pies I had this time were the almond cheesecake, which was delicious and super creamy and the sugar free apple pie. It was really good, actually it had the same flavor as a regular apple pie. The only thing I would say that was not perfect was the service. Other than that the food was great!

  My absolute favorite restaurant. Coffee is great. Food is even better. Pies are phenomenal and beautiful. Plentiful servings. I love the Belgium waffle with strawberries (on the side so the waffle stays crispy) for breakfast or the deluxe patty melt with fries for lunch. Parking is a bit hairy in their lot, but parking is available in the Bed Bath and Beyond lot in the side lot along Kirby.
