  Rooms: Requested an upgrade to two queen sized beds as my mom was tagging along on the trip. We received larger twin sized beds. We requested towels for the three people living in the room and only received two. Even after a call to the front desk, we did not receive additional towels so we needed to rummage around to find something. Room sizes are quite small. For a double room, it would be around a 12'x18' room for sleeping. So your space will be cramped as well as sparse. There's a single very small closet with 10 hangers and no chest of drawers. Unless your clothes can be put onto hangers, they'll best be suited inside your luggage Sound: Noise levels from other guests is acceptable. I never heard a peep from any other room. The street is quite loud, however. With the hotel positioned right next to the old trolley car lines, the evenings can be very loud. There is no central air, as with many buildings in California, so you must open a window for any cool evening air to flow in. If you're accustomed to loud sounds, you should be fine. Otherwise, you may want to find another accommodation.

  This is a budget hotel. Very nice service, the room was clean any very small. I had a room on 6th floor from street site. I like it, it gives a knowledge how it is to live in such big city, when the daily life start veeery early :)

  Great location. Friendly staff. Small rooms and slow elevator are the only real issues here. Excellent value if you don't plan to hang out in the room a lot.

  Location is key with this hotel. Like, it's definitely a prime location. Room is small, as expected since it's not high end and in the middle of the city. I just can't imagine anyone staying here when it's hot. Air circulation isn't that great. Outside wind is cold and strong, room is still warm / hot. Some rooms have the bathroom facing outside, so if someone likes to sing or plays songs while they're showering in the morning, you'd get to get woken up and enjoy the free show. Staffs are friendly. If you need housekeeping, you need to ask for that. Otherwise, there won't be housekeeping. No fridge, hot water or anything at all. There is an iron in the wardrobe, and small ironing board. It smells a bit funky inside the wardrobe though, but it just smells like those wooden board. Bed is pretty soft too. I don't like soft bed, so there's that. If you like firm bed, you might have trouble sleeping here.

  Small room but perfectly acceptable if you're just looking for a no frills place to catch some sleep in between your adventures in the city. Nice staff. Free breakfast is always welcome.
