  Do not stay here! There are so many beautiful, moderately priced hotels in DC, and this is not one of them. The rooms look OK in the pictures online, but are dirty, old, and shabby in real life. No bed bug covers on the beds, which is asking for trouble. The location may be close to the mall, but there is no way that outweighs being uncomfortable in your room during your stay.

  This hotel is in a great condition it is right in the center of DC just several blocks from the White House and the National Mall. That is really the only good thing about it. The hotel is very run down. My room was clean, but neither I nor my wife felt comfortable. For some reason it had two entrances,, though only one worked. The staff was friendly in general, though several were curt and rude. We spent as little time in the hotel as possible. I would recommend spending a little more and staying someplace nicer.

  Hotel Harrington is located in best possible place for my purposes. I was able to walk to Smithsonian museum of African American history. Hotel staff friendly and personable. Harriet's buffet across hotel lobby had delicious breakfast. Very convenient. Suggestion to hotel staff: remove or dust telephone directories; wipe down all surfaces with disinfectant, including furniture, baseboards, closet walls and shelves. Thank you so much for being there.
