I was pleasantly surprised with my Homewood experienced. Located on the Jacksonville South bank of downtown, the area has much to do but it is not as crowded as the north bank. Also the transient population is also much lower on that side. The hotel is really 2 in 1 with it sharing the. Building with the Hilton Garden Inn. The rooms are nice and comfortable. Tv is directv. Additionally the happy hour includes free beer and wine which is a deal maker. Overall a good place to stay.

Staff was friendly and helpful for the several requests we had. Rooms were nice and spacious and we'll kept. Quick half mile walk straight to the water taxi too.

Very short walk to water taxi stop, very comfortable bed, no noise from neighbors or traffic. Nice breakfast in the morning.

Nice stay with exception of customer service. One tender for a Thursday evening waiting on 8 tables = long wait to order. The bartender didn’t want to charge my card— he wanted to charge my room so he made that apparent to everyone at my table by asking me 3 times about my bill as he had my debit card in his possession. Mind you I was told that the hotel was not pet friendly as I ate my dinner and had drinks next to a family with their cute dog barking at my family. Checking out was nice since there were 4 staff members that were not ready to help me simply collect my card and didn’t want to print me a receipt or help me to the parking garage after almost slipping and breaking my neck in front of them. Then, the mean lady told me to keep my room key to get in garage door which didn’t work either. So I made another trip inside to be ignored and wait to get to my car so I could quit bothering them. Huge mistake staying here last minute during spring break family emergency!
