  I've always loved this place. I recently went back after a couple of years. Food is still great and authentic as it has ever been. The burgers are darn good. Their shakes are to die for and lets just talk about their huge portions. Would recommend 5/5

  Oh Boy!! So, I was in San Diego for my first time last month I was starving and doing research on an empty stomach. As I was browsing and finally made my mind up, so I decided to check it out seen the reviews, pictures and the menu so Why Not? I got the Double Bacon Cheeseburger as soon as it arrived to my table Holy S&!# couldn’t decide where to begin my first bite... So cheesy & smoky can’t forget the bacon. Conclusion, I was so hooked on this burger I wish I could’ve done another one but trust me one is enough. One of the best burgers I've ever had. 👍🏼💯

  AWESOME food and super friendly waitstaff. Definitely Cali kitschy but entertaining. The "small" milkshake gave four of us the sugar shakes. Mini Bacon Cheeseburger was filling and the towering Frings was more than enough for us. Was exploring San Diego and found this treasure. A must try.

  Great burgers and and a small but good beer selection. Nice ‘dive’ atmosphere with license plates all over the walls and even a table inside the front end of a classic van. Very friendly service and I didn’t feel rushed even though there is a line out the door. I will definitely repeat if I get the chance. BTW the single bacon cheeseburger was so tall it was a challenge to bite. I don’t know how I could eat a double without deconstructing it.

  When I visited California, I did a lot of touristy stuff recommended online. This place, however, came from a friend's personal recommendation. It did not disappoint. Perhaps the best meal I had on my vacation. Do not order a double (too much) but do order a burger with bacon, as the unique criss-cross boil method makes it all work. Basket fries are so tender. Service is fast!
