  If you want a hockey atmosphere this is where you want to be. The place is littered with Red Wings history and photos. The food is really good and very reasonably priced. The bathrooms being all the way downstairs is the only down side to restaurant. Definitely a must visit before any Red Wings or Tigers, and even Lions game!

  The Hockeytown Cafe is a pretty cool place to see hockey memorabila from the Detroit Red Wings to others, They have a couple cool motorcycles worth seeing. The service from their wait staff has a lot to desired. They weren't very friendly and they couldn't get our order correct. Also they sell small Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers small baseball bats, but the staff said they didn't have cash registers set up for selling them. Poor excuse for being able to make a sale. The upstairs has a semi small room that you can rent out to host small events. We attended a Disney Junior Live meet and greet there. So it a nice venue for it. So my recommendation is, go to visit to see it, go somewhere else to eat there in Detroit.

  Hockey Town is always a favorite stop of mine when I go to Detroit. When we got to the restaurant we were seated promptly and our table was clean and comfy. After we were seated it took a good 15 minutes or so before our server came to the table and once we got our items we waited quite a bit longer for her to come back for drink refills. I ordered the twisted mac and cheeses and wow was it super delicious. On the bottom of the bowl there was a layer of pulled pork topped with the mac and cheese and a layer of crisp melted cheese on the top, I would highly recomend this dish to anyone who likes a spin on mac and cheese ! Our server was really nice and had a smile on her face. The only complaint everyone including my self seems to have is the wait when you get to your table and the server stopping by, other than that is was a pleasant visit.

  Fun place to visit before sporting events. The food is good for the price. Also has plenty of memorabilia to look at while waiting to be seated. Plan on waiting a long time to be seated though if it's an event night downtown

  Great spot to stop by before a game at the Little Caesar Arena. We went for beer and pizza during the game, both were good. Service was slow, seemed our waitress was overwhelmed, thou there was only 2 tables in her section. All the other staff seemed to be spot on though. Would definitely stop by here again, go early if u want a seat before big game, just because it's so popular. Side note: there where people scalping tickets near the entrance, so if u need tickets there available here.
