Mr Patrick Hoag was referred by Family members and he was very helpful in our journey to purchasing a home. He listened to our wants and needs and was persistent when we found the right house. He was informative; he answered our questions promptly and guided us along the way to help us make the best decision to fit our needs. I commend him highly because he worked with a group of buyers..not a couple and those were many ideas and opinions. He worked so well with each one of us. Thank you Mr Hoag. We are a very satisfied Family.

I began working with Patrick in the Fall of 2015. I wasn't ready to sell but I needed some advice on what I needed to do in order to put it on the market in the Spring of 2016. His kindness, patience, assistance, and responsiveness were way beyond my expectations. I feel so enormously grateful for all his help. I followed his recommendations in preparing the house for sale and it worked! It was listed on the afternoon of April 29th and I received an offer that night for more than I was asking for! He walked me through every single step of the process and explained things so well. Due to his advice and expertise, I was able to accomplish this quickly and successfully! I would recommend Patrick to anyone! I cannot imagine there is a better realtor out there than Patrick Hoag!

I called Patrick about a property, who told me that an application had been submitted they were going to accept and the property was no longer available. I then later got a call from a co-agent of Patrick's saying the property was actually available, but that a deposit was required alongside the deposit. To hand over that much money with uncertainty if you're going to be accepted is just not right, and frankly out of renting for about a decade now I've never encountered it. So I called Patrick back and he said he does not require a deposit and to call the co-agent Stuart back and he'll show us the property and we just need to submit an application. So now I'm calling Stuart who says he just spoke with Patrick, who has now changed his mind within 45 seconds and actually DOES require the deposit on the application because someone backed out after submitting an application. So I call Patrick and it's the same story again, taking the advice from another realtor who says "people submit multiple applications so you need to require a deposit too", hate to break it to you guys but people don't want to do that nor do they feel comfortable. People submit multiple applications at properties because you don't know if you'll be accepted for various reasons: Landlord liked someone else more, or didn't like something on your application, etc. And now you're sitting out of a home because you just paid x amount of money for an application and a deposit and your money is tied up so you can't even apply somewhere else. Bad practice flip flopping on your decisions and listening to someone else after you've decided on something. People don't require deposits with applications, it's just not feasible.
