Mobile check in worked, didn't have to go to the front desk. Upgrade request using certificate was denied even on a one night stay on Monday. Was given a top floor room though which was nice. Internet was decent. TV streaming was terrible, very slow and kept resetting. Restaurant in lobby is good. There's valet but plenty of garages nearby for $20 overnight if you want to save a bit. Walking distance to some other restaurants and a Whole Foods.

Just one night so hard to give a comprehensive review, just our experience. The lobby was nice, but there was a natural gas smell both the evening we checked in and the morning we left. We were near the kitchen next to the elevators but it was a little unsettling. The elevators are old and shaky. The room we had was overlooking the back alley and there was only a sliver of a window. Felt more confining than comfortable. The room was clean and the internet worked. The lobby ran out of all three pots of coffee while we were there and the Kirkland brand K-cups were not that great. Staff was friendly and valet was nice. Location is what you pay for. Close to a lot of Old Alexandria shops and such. Recommended a mile walk to the water and stop at Misha's Coffee for breakfast. Lovely ☕🥯

I reserved a room with two double beds, There was one bar of soap, one. There was one extra blanket. We had to call for another one. There was no signage to the stairs. There was one shower curtain, not a curtain with a liner, like the pictures show. There is a small elevator near the front desk which I discovered while watching someone check out. Wish the valet parking employee had told me about it when I carried a really big suitcase up the front stairs inside. Check out the signage on the street in front of the hotel. You may be able to park for free on the street, if you park late in the day and leave early in the day. Notice the hotel is on a one way street, which is helpful and the parking spaces are marked off. There is a breakfast that is offered. We ordered eggs and bacon and then selected a muffin and a piece of fruit from the Continental breakfast bar. The coffee was really good. We were there for a big birthday party, off site. Most out of town people stayed here too.

Nice hotel, but runs very poorly. I checked in via the app, but needed to ask the front desk a question upon arrival. There was no one there. I waited and waited... and eventually had to ask the valet to help me find the receptionist. She was in the back on her phone not paying attention. The hotel booked me in a room that someone else was already using. I opened the door and saw all their stuff laying around and immediately went to the front desk to get a different room. Throughout the stay, the key in the app never worked. When I went to check out, the receptionist's english was so bad that I couldn't understand him when he said the room number (3 digits). It took a good 3 minutes of repeatedly asking him to repeat himself before I finally figured out he was saying the room number. Hilton -- you have an awesome hotel, but it runs poorly. Please fix this place.

All in all it was an okay stay. The room was nice. However I was given a handicapped room. The shower was different and the water flooded a lot in the bathroom. Maybe that’s normal but it felt weird having the water spill out of the shower area near the toilet . I had minor issues with the phone and key, but thankfully they were fixed very quickly. Valet was $37/day. I feel that is super expensive. If you park in the embassy suite parking garage (a block away) you pay $18 a day. Side note: even though I didn’t use valet services, the valet guy was really nice.
