  Great place to worship, it is always uplifting and i come out of the service feeling refreshed...but after attending for almost a year, i found their sermons lacking in depth. For new christians this church is a GREAT place to build new relationships and get acquainted with the basics of faith, but it may not be for people looking for a deeper understanding of the Word by just attending sermons alone. I understand that its catered to a more "millennial" audience...with funny jokes and anecdotes. It's true young people have shorter attention spans these days, and dry deliveries would only cause your audience to lose interest quickly. It's a tricky balance, hence the sermons are usually a hit or miss with different pastors. As someone who is in my late 20s, I feel like it is catered more to attendees ranging from high school to mid 20s. I've observed that their discipleship structure is not very strong as they don't place emphasis on discipleship (getting into a bible study group's more of an optional thing). You can find connect groups all over the city though. I have however attended one bible study group session and it was quite amazing, a lot of smart thought-provoking questions asked by members really hungry to learn but i found it hard to develop lasting relationships because people come and leave the group. Honestly the only thing keeping me at Hillsong was the bible study group, which got closed recently :( This place is wonderful for worship, filled with truly passionate people, but as a Christian I wished this church could fulfill what it means to "be fishers of men" and help believers develop christlike characteristics. Nevertheless Hillsong is still a light of hope for NYC.

  It was my dream to attend hill songs church in NYC. I’m originally from queens but ended up in Florida. I’m apart of a great community at the church I attend in Tampa. I was going to be in NYC and although we were leaving Sunday I couldn’t go to sleep fast enough Saturday so I could be up early and head to the city. It was so important for me to go. Mannnnn! I was so happy once I walked in! The worship was out of this world. I cried so much. I felt so much love and more importantly God. The message hit me directly. Is it all well within your soul? Thank you for having me! Thank you to this church for that beautiful Sunday. Love the new album! I can’t wait to go back. I watch online now! Thank you!

  This man Carl lentz teaches a false gospel, this is easily detectable through cross reference in scripture & the doctrines coming out of this "church". My message to him would be, repent and turn away from the desires of your flesh, of money and of fame... For it would be better for you to hang a millstone around your neck & drown in a lake than to be a stumbling block for the children of God. Revelation clearly says nothing shall be added to or taken away from the word, and great penalties will come to him who does so. Satan is the puppet master controlling this church and others like this, the Bible says the devil will come as an angel of light, deceiving many.. God's grace be with the people being led astray.

  I attend in my country at a church. This was my first time in a Hillsong Church and it was awesome. The moment you get here the volunteers are the best and always smiling, I got the opportunity to be translated so if you speak Spanish and prefer listening in Spanish don't panic they'll translate to you. The atmosphere is unique and surely you will feel the presence of God.

  This is an awesome place to go and worship, and to hear the word from some of the best preachers in the world. The music is incredible, speakers are incredible, and the community around Hillsong is incredible. The only issues are that parking is hard to find and once you get it it is very expensive, which is why I take the train. Also the sanctuary is very cramped so if you don't like tight areas I might rethink a visit to this church. Regardless I love this church, I try to go down every week and I live in Putnam County.
