  I rented a car with my wife for a business trip and the car we received was a complete mess and smelled like dog pee inside. The engine light was on as well and we called to report the issue. We were assured that the car is okay and safe to drive. We then tried to drop off the car at the location and they seemed to have closed earlier than they should have. Now we are sitting in the car calling Hertz speaking to the most unprofessional customer service people I have ever spoke to. They just keep reading from a script on what to say and to top it all off the call keeps on getting dropped. Do not rent from Hertz they are incompetent and completely unprofessional.

  Jasmine was a pleasure to work with! My wife and I were in SF on our 1 yr anniversary and she worked diligently to get us a convertible for our scenic drive down the coast to LA. Thanks Jasmine for your great customer service! We'll use you guys next time we're in SF!

  worst rental service ever ! AVOID IT ! I booked online a Toyota Corolla. we waited one hour to get the car and were given a Kia Soul which is totally not a similar model. It had not even enough space for a single luggage. The staff did not even give us another car for the price we paid (which is standard service anywhere else). Returning the car after 10 DAYS with 1 hour late was charged 35 dollars, which is 60% of a 24h rental, I mean how petty and mean is it. ?? Of course the staff has no customer sense at all. worst experience ever.

  You had my car, but I was running ten minutes late. Called to let them know I was running late and they said they couldn't hold reservation. They need to learn their own policy. Their corporate website days 1 hr Grace period or 2hr for pre paid. Guy on phone was total **ck and was the same to people waiting in line when I got there.

  Told them make sure the car didn't smell bad like cigarettes. It smells bad. Also not washed. Asked for another, the guy told me its the only car they had and I could go to another location. Sure, why not waste more of my time. What a joke. The execs of this company out playing gold don't deserve a penny of pay. Will leave the windows open while parked over the weekend and hope the SF air cleans it out so I don't throw up in the car from the smell. Also hope it doesn't get vandalized, I'm sure I'll be charged for that too.
