  Maria was rude when I called. I asked her if they removed carpet and the nails from where the carpet was. Her response was “We’re not going to ruin our $10,000 machines on a $1,000 job.” In a very snotty manner. I will not be doing business with them.

  Customer Joshua Boatman : If a review is made make sure all is being said. For all jobs a deposit is asked to secure the job on our schedule. Which all flooring company's require. The amount this customer is stating is incorrect. Hernandez is very flexible on payments but this customer was not will to work with us.

  They asked for $2,200 up front on a $3,100 job! I DO NOT advance money to ANY contractor on a job that is mostly labor, and is scheduled to take only 2 days. I enjoyed meeting Juan Hernandez, and their quality might be excellent. I have heard numerous stories of contractors that were paid a deposit that never showed, or showed whenever they got around to it. Contractors can file a lien on your house if you don't pay them. A homeowner's only recourse is to file suit, and that costs more than the disputed amount in many cases. Finally, if a contractor can't afford to front the money for a small job, they don't have the financial stability to qualify as someone I'll do business with.

  I've used Hernandez Hardwood Floors several times now and they're great! They're the contractor trifecta: high quality, fast and priced right. Nathan and Maria are great to work with in the office and the install guys are very friendly too. On my most recent job they even were able to squeeze me in their schedule quickly which saved me big time so my cabinets could go in on time. Highly recommended family owned company.
