  I came in and there was a little line and the whole time I was here people kept coming in, that’s how I knew this was the spot. I ordered chicken and waffles, 4 wings and a waffle it was suppose to be a sweet potato waffle but idk if it was but the food here is excellent 5/5 easy. Sweet potato pie was also good.

  I tried Henry’s Soul Cafe for the first time for my Thanksgiving client appreciation event in 2021. I ordered dozens of their famous sweet potato pies and they were indeed a hit! But what was even better for me was the great service I received from the young workers there. They were super polite and I didn’t have to lift a finger as they did all of the work to carefully load the pies in my SUV. Tasty, reasonably priced pies, plus great customer service… definitely 5 stars!

  The environment was a bit cramped, but somewhat inviting. The menu was simple and down home. The meatloaf was not the best, and stuffing was kinda bland. Their homemade gravy made up for that. Collard greens were awesome and fried okra was cooked to perfection. Worth another visit...curious to taste if their catfish and Mac & Cheese live up to their down home standards! Stay tuned!!!

  Visiting from SC. Decided to come here because I saw it on Diners drive ins and dives... not pleased at all. The cashier was nice and pleasant but my food was not as good as expected. I had the chicken wings and one of them tasted tainted. The collard greens were more stems than greens. Cabbage was over seasoned!! Yes I had both. I love greens. Hubby had the short ribs in gravy that were salty. The sweet potato pie slice was old to me, hard and syrupy. The potato salad was good. Mac n cheese could've been better.

  I decided to come here after seeing Chef Jermaine on soul food cook off. The cashier was really nice but not so professional. Our food set in the window for 8mins while we watched her talk on her cell phone in the kitchen. She came out and apologized for the delay so I wasn’t too upset. We ordered fried catfish (5/5) with Mac & cheese(1/5) and cabbage(2/5). We also ordered the salmon cakes (2/5) with yams (5/5) and greens. (1/5). The worlds famous sweet potato pie was meh. I wouldn’t go back but I don’t feel like I wasted my money completely!
