  Vultures, rip-off: Had them come out to look at my Viking pop-up range vent because they are listed as "Authorized Service" on the Viking website. They quoted $750 plus tax for the repair and said the entire control panel unit would have to be replaced. Had another guy come out and look at it and he fixed it in 5 minutes with a new on/off switch for $55. Burner was out on the range as well, again they said the whole thing needed to be replaced and quoted $329. Turns out it needed a new valve that costs $50. Their "diagnostics" lasted about 5 min for the three appiance issues that we had and it looks like their solution is to replace rather than repair items for 10 times or more than the cost. I would not let these guys in my house to change a light bulb, they are the type that hope to prey on people who do not know any better about appliances.
