  Really cool place to go to,we went late at night and it was hard to get a seat,so busy, anyways,if you go upstairs you'll have a better shot, basically first come first served.didn't get any food, just cocktails. The place is reasonably priced for being a downtown restaurant. Also the DJ was awesome this night, just vibing to grooves and relaxing, the bathroom situation is strange though, going to it, it makes you feel like you're in a funhouse at an amusement park. you walk through this strange hallway surrounded by mirrors. Nice atmosphere, overall it's a cool spot

  Hanny's is a refurbished department store turned trendy restaurant/wine bar in the heart of downtown Phoenix. It is eclectic and even if you're not in the mood for food or drink, stop in and take a walk to the basement and/or upstairs, you will not be disappointed. On their menu, they have a great prosciutto plate, and I enjoyed the Riesling.

  I have this three starts for the ambiance. This restaurant creates a neat experience when it being set in an old department store. The bathrooms are more interesting than expected and it welcomes all genders. There is a creepy surprise tucked away in the basement. The food is overpriced and the taste was nothing exemplary. You're paying to sit in an unusual restaurant setting, not for the amazing food or service.

  Hanny's is one of the most interesting and eclectic places you'll ever go. I have a hard time understanding why this place isn't busier. The pizza and drinks are outstanding. The decor and atmosphere are super trendy. It's got amazing art everywhere and the seating is plush and comfortable (hint: they recline). Go upstairs or downstairs and get ready for the weird and wonderful. I love that the eccentric owner doesn't cater to the ordinary.

  Open Christmas Day! We were visiting Phoenix for a friend's wedding and spent Christmas there, rather than traveling on Christmas day. Hanny's being open allowed us to have a nice meal on Christmas. We didn't get anything traditional and Christmasy though; we opted for steak dinners, and they were delicious! We were not required to make a reservation to far in advance, just earlier that same day worked out fine for us. The service there was so-so. While pouring water, the waiter ended up spilling a lot of it on the table, which got a bit messy. Maybe he was a newbie though? New guy has to work the holiday? Makes sense to me. The girl who was our server made us feel a little uncomfortable though when we took our time to order. We got there well before closing, and it wasn't packed at all, so I'm not sure what her rush was. Maybe she just wanted to be home with her loved ones too *shoulder shrug. There is a glass floor elevator shaft in the restaurant. I didn't go in, those things make my feet sweat! but it was pretty cool to see from outside. The overall ambiance in the restaurant was modern yet relaxed, and it was better than all the other options we had for Christmas day in the area.
