  The food was absolutely beautiful. The quality of the fish was next to none. Quality Monkfish liver is something that's a little hard to find in the states. I was surprised when I saw it on the menu and the price wasn't insane. I was even more surprised when I ate it. The monkfish liver was rich, creamy, and complex. It didn't have the weird aftertaste that is common in standard quality liver. Our sushi chef, Leo, did an excellent job in preparing our courses. His skills are phenomenal. I highly recommend the wagyu roll. Although not traditional, it makes up for that with its originality. Theres not "too much" of anything. Well balanced. The meat is cooked to perfection and served on top of the roll. Will definitely come here again. P.S they also know how to serve an Ashai beer properly! Just above freezing.

  Amazing quality. By far one of the best sushi restaurants in SD County. A bit pricey, but I don’t mind it because you get what you pay for and it shows at this amazing restaurant. Can’t wait to go back.

  Anyone who doesn't give Hane Sushi a 5 star review is either mentally unstable or is clueless about food. This was the best sushi I've had in the states, hands down...that means if your hand is up, put it down. Roger, you are a God among ants when it comes to your precision and your art of sushi. Hats off to this restaurant, it was one of the highlights of my trip to San Diego. 😍😍😍

  I was out with my girlfriend for her birthday. The chef's were amazing. Everything was fresh and handmade. Any and everything you asked for was made to order. This is a place you go to for great sushi.

  Went for my girlfriends birthday and the service was welcoming and the food was very authentic. I recommend it to anyone celebrating valentines day with a loved one or an anniversary coming up. The dessert was one of a kind and very unique. Btw , rice was excellent!
