  The bank customer service is very poor plus it can't handle checks on large amount of money or deal with foreign check professionally. I regret doing business with this so call bank.

  If I could give less than one star I would. To begin with the lady who answered the phone was very rude. I asked questions about cashing a large check and was told to go the following day with my husband since his name was the one on the check. We pack the baby up and go and AFTER they've written all over our check and taken all his information do they say "oh we can't cash this bc he doesn't have his social security card" WHY WOULDNT YOU TELL US WHAT WE WOULD NEED BEFOREHAND SINCE IT WAS SUCH A LARGE AMOUNT. "Oh we thought it would be for you since you're the one who called." Uhm no. I brought my HUSBAND with me because you said I would have to since it was in his name. Then they blamed me for not knowing. If you want to be treated poorly as a customer and like an idiot go ahead and go here.

  How can you be in business and not answer the phone? Going the way of FNBC I see.

  This is the most predatory, inconsiderate bank in new Orleans. They do everything possible to avoid customers, for instance never answering their phones. If you have an account get out now, hidden fees and unkind, inconsiderate employees will cost you a lot of money. This bank belonged in the stone age.

  Whitney Bank is a bank that is soon to be no more if it continues on the track that it is on. It used to be that anyone who was anyone in New Orleans had to have a Whitney Bank account. However, that is no longer the case and with the influx of out-of-towners into the area, Whitney Bank seems to be failing to keep up. Their systems are out of date, their online banking looks like and has the features like it was designed by an elementary school student, and they seem to use the maximum legally allowed amount of time to transfer funds as a guideline for how long they feel they should take (which leaves you without the funds for up to a week or more). Whitney Bank seems to have missed the memo telling them that the speed of bankers is no longer sufficient and that the customer requires more.
